This is one of our favorite places in the world. The main trail is paved and there are a number of trails that branch off from it that cater to hikers of all ability levels. Parking needs to be reserved in advance and we highly recommend that you do. There are shuttles that will take you into the park as well if the parking reservations run out.
Truly one of our favorite places in San Francisco! It's an awesome collection of antique pinball machines, games, and coin operated mechanical musical instruments. There are definitely things in here that defy description in the best way! Admission is free and most of the machines take one quarter to operate. There are change machines once you enter. Have fun and let us know what your favorite toy was!
If you are at all interested in the history of Walt Disney, his impact on animation, or the history of Disneyland, we think you'll love this museum. Lauren almost got kicked out once for taking too long looking at all the incredible exhibits! You do need tickets but should not need to get them that far in advance. It also happens to be within the borders of the Presidio - our neighborhood!
We live here and we love it! There are dozens of wonderful trails that give you amazing views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Be sure to pop by the Yoda Fountain to say hello to him! There are also rotating food trucks by the Main Lawn as well as a few delightful restaurants in the borders of the park.
This is a true San Francisco experience - a beautiful park filled with native plants and flowers 4 stories up in the middle of skyscrapers! There is also an outpost of one of our favorite breweries in the middle of the park now - Bare Bottle. If you want to experience the mix of urban density and the natural beauty of California flora there is no better place.
