We were both volunteering at our church, the Sanctuary Fellowship, for VBS over the summer. I was volunteering at the arts and crafts station while Quinn was moving stations with the same group of kids. He walked in the door and our eyes instantly met. It was at that moment both of us knew we needed to get to know each other. We spent the rest of VBS talking and hanging out with one another and went to get lunch with a mutual friend afterward. After lunch, he asked me for my number and our story began.

My family was hosting a party for the holidays and both family and family-friends had come from in town and out of state to be there. We had a toast and my mom spoke about the importance of family. When we were all clinking glasses I turned around and Quinn was on one knee with a ring in a box. He said, "Lauren, I've loved you since the first day I met you. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?" And through all of the happy tears streaming from my face, I SAID YES!
