Lauren claims she is originally from Madison, Wisconsin- but if you know her well, you know that isn't true. Lauren was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has since lived in Stuart, FL and Madison, WI. She studied ceramic art at Kansas City Art Institute and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has lived in Philadelphia since 2012. Her 15 year-old dog is named Pauly. It's just a coincidence.

Lauren and Elizabeth met in college at the Kansas City Art Institute in 2003. Friends ever since, Elizabeth is now an owner of the Zucherhosen art and design collaboration formed in January 2015. Zuckerhosen makes authentic, one-of-a-kind functional sculpture, lighting, small objects, prints, textiles and other works of art located in Detroit, MI. Our creative hearts and affinity for hardware stores are just a few things we share.
