Patrick actually doesn't remember the first time he met Lauren, but it was a moment Lauren will never forget. One Saturday morning in January 2018, Lauren was leaving her apartment complex to go work during a particularly challenging Accounting busy season. On her way out she crossed paths with a handsome blue-eyed stranger walking his two month old chocolate lab. Missing Ruby, her Cavapoo puppy, who she had left with her family in North Carolina for the busy season, she couldn't resist the chance to give some pets to this sweet lab. Fast forward two months and Lauren has brought Ruby back home to Dallas. She notices that some of her neighbors meet up every evening after work to let their dogs play together. Lauren and Ruby became fast friends with the neighbors and their dogs, including that handsome blue-eyed stranger, Patrick, and his dog Rex. Shortly thereafter, Patrick brought home a brother for Rex, a black lab named Copper. Lauren and Patrick soon were spending time together nearly every day as best friends, each holding back the deeper feelings they had for the other in fear of jeopardizing their friendship and social circle. Nearly a year after they first met, Lauren took the plunge and kissed Patrick... and the rest was history!
