FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 5:00pm as this is 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. We want you to have plenty of time to park and find your seats so we can begin promptly.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend cocktail or semi-formal attire. Think dresses, jumpsuits, button-down shirts, suits, or blazers. We want you to feel comfortable while celebrating with us!

Question

Will there be dinner and drinks?

Answer

Yes! Dinner will be provided by Coastal Crust (wood-fired pizza). Drinks include beer, wine, and a choice of two specialty His & Her cocktails.

Question

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

Absolutely! Coastal Crust pizza will provide a gluten free and vegetarian option. Our dessert will be gelato and dairy free sorbet. Additionally, our bartender will provide non-alcoholic beverages.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be signs directing you to the Legare Waring House parking area. This parking area will be right next to the venue.

Question

Are there nearby attractions or activities?

Answer

Yes, Charleston's historic downtown has a lot to offer; amazing restaurants, open-air markets, and beautiful scenic areas (e.g., The Battery, Rainbow Row). Local beaches include Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, and Sullivans Island. Shem Creek offers kayaking and paddle board rentals to explore the inter-coastal waterway (if you're lucky, you might see a dolphin). Additionally, our venue is located in Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site which is open to visitors from 9am-4pm.

Question

Is there anything else that I should know?

Answer

Since our wedding is over Labor Day weekend, the area tends to book up quickly. We recommend planning ahead and reserving hotels or Airbnbs early if you’ll be traveling.

Question

When is the rsvp deadline?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by July 15, 2026 so we can finalize plans with our vendors. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What happens if I don't rsvp in time?

Answer

We completely understand that life gets busy and RSVPs can slip through the cracks! However, we’ll need to provide final guest counts to our vendors shortly after the RSVP deadline. If we don’t hear from you by then, we will assume you’re unable to attend.
