It all started in the purple and gold hallways of Desoto Central Middle School in August 2010. We were in the same classroom in the 6th grade. I remember Noah coming in the classroom on the first day of school. I had the biggest crush on him. One day, he was on the other side of the classroom and whispered "can i have your #?" So, we exchanged phone #'s. Little did I know, he didn't give me "his #," he gave me his mom's. We had that middle school relationship where we started "dating" the second day of school. 4 months later, he moved to Lewisburg and our little middle school relationship didn't work out. Fast forward 8 years later, October 8, 2018, I came across a picture of Noah and his dog, Georgia. So I decided to add him on snapchat, and we rekindled our relationship. We talked everyday since then. Our first date was at the movies, but it probably was not the best idea because we couldn't stop talking to each other. After that date, we went on more and more. He took me 4 wheeler riding, duck hunting for the 1st time, fishing, church on Sundays, ate his mom's delicious Sunday meals with his sweet family, and took a little quick trip to Gatlinburg with my parents. After that trip, my parents told me, "I've never seen you so happy before." It was so true. I was the happiest I have ever been. After all the great memories that we have experienced together in a short amount of time, I knew he was the one.
May 6th, 2022, it was a day full of celebrations. I graduated from nursing school. Little did I know, I was going to be celebrating a new chapter in our life as a newly engaged couple. After graduation, he took me out on his boat to ride around. After riding around for a while, he said, "I have to pee." He pulled into a channel with a tunnel of trees around us. He went to the front of the boat to "pee." (as he was turned around he was taking deep breaths and was so nervous) As I was waiting he pulled out his "dip can" and knelled down on one knee. No, it was not tobacco inside. I looked down, and it was the most beautiful diamond ring held by a black velvet lining. As I was in shock, he asked, "will you marry me?" Of course, I said "yes!" The idea was inspired by his dad, Mr. Heath, when he proposed to Mrs. Mindy. That little 10 year old girl in middle school would have been SO HAPPY that Noah was going to be her FUTURE HUSBAND!!!
