Question

COVID-19 UPDATE 23.08.20

Answer

The wedding is fast approaching (less than 4 weeks!) and we wanted to update everyone on our current plans. As you may already be aware, the QLD Government has extended the border closures to the 2nd of October, which means we can no longer hold our wedding at Kingscliff anymore. We had planned to email everyone this weekend with the update, however, the recent spike in cases has made things a bit more unsure. At this stage, we are still planning on continuing with the wedding as there are no changes to weddings or the Gold Coast. However, we have outlined our back-up plan below.

Question

COVID-19 UPDATE 23.08.20 CONTINUED

Answer

Current plans: - The wedding will now move to QLD and no longer be held in Kingscliff, NSW - The ceremony and reception will be held at Pacific Beach Function Centre, Palm Beach - It will remain as a 2.30pm arrival for a 3pm start - With the current restrictions we can have up to 100 guests which allows us to keep all people invited - The only changes to the normal wedding format is that there is no dancing allowed and you must be seated to consume alcohol - Please see the travel tab for updates on accommodation recommendations - We are still hoping to host pre-wedding dinner/drinks on Thursday night and barefoot bowls on Saturday (both at locations in Broadbeach if possible) - please see the schedule tab for more info - If you did indicate that you would like to attend Thursday night and/or Saturday and can no longer please let us know ASAP to assist with booking

Question

COVID-19 UPDATE 23.08.20 CONTINUED

Answer

If the situation were to change and further restrictions put in place, we would still get married on our day with our witnesses and look to move the celebration to another date next year. We will update our wedding website with these changes and aim to keep it as up to date as possible with any other changes that may occur so please keep an eye on that as it's the easiest way to disseminate information to everyone. As always, everyone's safety is our upmost priority, so if you have any concerns with attending, we understand and just ask that you let us know ASAP as we need to start confirming final numbers this week. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out in the past couple of weeks offering thoughts and offers of assistance - the support means so much to us.

Question

IS THERE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE HOTELS TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

As there are many locations guests may choose to stay we haven't organised transportation to or from the wedding. Please check out the "Travel" tab for further details on some options if you don't wish to drive.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Cocktail attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks. But we want you to feel comfortable, so feel free to leave those high heels at home and let the top button loose.

Question

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! Children are welcome to the ceremony, however, to allow everyone to enjoy themselves we kindly request adults only at the reception.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We have worked really hard to create a small, intimate celebration featuring all of our most important people. If you have a question about this please call or email. Thank you for understanding.

Question

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Answer

Please RSVP by the 14th August 2020 by searching your name on the RSVP tab. You can include dietary requirements.

Question

WHAT IF I WANT TO BRING A GIFT?

Answer

Your presence on our special day is gift enough, however, if you would like to honour us with something, we are currently saving to purchase our own home and any contribution towards that would be incredibly appreciated.
