Back during the Summer of 2014 Lauren and Nicholas worked as safety watchers together for PSE&G. Surprisingly, they previously knew one another because Lauren’s dad (Ray) and Nick’s mom (Linda) also worked together since they were in their twenties! The bride and groom’s parents always thought they would be a good match for one another, and Nick later admitted that he had a crush on Lauren since he was 12 years old. Anyways, when that summer ended, Nick went back to study at Rutgers University, and Lauren also returned to school at The Pennsylvania State University. Their lives took them in different directions for a while. It was not until Spring of 2022, when their careers pulled them back together. Lauren was leaving teaching, and was going to be starting the same job that Nick had, an engineer technician at (yet again) PSE&G. Although they were based out of different locations, Nick took it as an opportunity to reach out and offer his “insight”. From here, not only did their friendship rekindle, but a romantic spark also lit. It was not long after this that they were going on their first date to the Barrow House in Clifton, NJ. A few months later on June 9th, 2022 they put an official label on their relationship! 6 months later they were already taking their first trip together. They travelled to Iceland where they got to see the Northern Lights, climb craters, swim in natural hot springs and so much more! Since that trip they have also traveled to the Jersey Shore, New York, Pennsylvania, and Cancun together! When Nick is not cheering Lauren on at her softball games or her bowling matches, the couple spends their time sharing meals, taking walks with Ginger around town, or playing cards with one another. Oh yeah, while also trying to get through more episodes of Dexter. Lauren & Cheeto Puff moved in with Nick on October 1st, 2023. After settling in, they worked together to fix up their basement. They now have a laundry room, a pantry, an office area, and a storage space down there! When this project was done, Nick and his dad (Also Nick) ran electricity to the two sided garage. Later, the couple turned one side of the garage into a work space, and they turned the other side into a garage bar, now coined “The Love Shack”. For Nick’s 30th birthday, they took a trip out to Martha’s Vineyard. Here they went shopping, and took in all of the views. On May 12th, 2024, Nick got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren at the Edgartown Light House. He surprised her with a stunning ring and a photo shoot to follow. The rest is now history!
