We met on Hinge (a dating app) and immediately hit it off! After a week of messaging and texting, he planned our first date -- lunch at The Label and a walk on the Tweestie Trail. Our conversations flowed so naturally and we thoroughly enjoyed each others company (it was pretty much love at first sight for me)! Our relationship kept growing from there and we started dating a couple of weeks later!

Before I answer some of the frequently asked questions about the proposal, I want to say that Mike truly did a phenomenal job and I am one lucky gal! He, not just on May 24th, but every single day makes me feel loved, honored, and treasured. And for that, I am forever grateful! Where did it happen? On one of the islands in Grandfather Golf & Country Club (Linville, NC) When? May 24th, 2024 Did I know beforehand? YES!! Mike and I are big planners, so it was natural for us to plan this together too! I knew about 80% of what was going to happen, but he did have a couple of surprises up his sleeve! Any memorable tidbits? YES! 1. In his mind, Mike thought the photographer would give us ample space while he was actually proposing; however, she ended up being about 8 feet from us. He got nervous and stumbled over his words (bless his heart!!), so once the photographer left he turned to me and said "okay, this is what I had planned to say.." and re-proposed haha! 2. The weather was supposed to be absolutely terrible (90% chance of rain/thunderstorms), but, on the day-of at around noon, the skies cleared up and it was sunny!! Praise the Lord!!
