Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Lindsey Boomgarden

Maid of Honor

Sister of the Bride and when asked what her role in the wedding is, she will reply, “I’m the mah ha,” also known as the Maid of Honor. Lindsey has known Lauren her whole life and never fails to make her laugh. As most sisters do, they can often be found laughing at things only they understand, singing whatever songs they currently have stuck in their heads together (usually Hamilton), and occasionally annoying each other. While they are two years apart, they are often asked if they are twins. When they say no, they somehow end up using the exact same tone of voice—which rarely convinces the person asking. Lindsey is also Lauren’s dedicated concert chauffeur, driving them to wherever their next tickets take them, while Lauren provides moral support from the passenger seat when traffic gets heavy.

Kate Summers

Officiant

Kate and Lauren met during Lauren’s new member process, when Kate was serving as assistant to the new member educator. They grew closer during their senior year of college when Lauren moved onto the floor as an RA, and the two were elected to the standards board together while also serving on several committees. Although they no longer live just down the hall from each other, they still make time to call, text, and visit a couple of times each year. When they’re together, they enjoy exploring downtown areas, browsing thrift shops, and catching each other up on the latest gossip.

Maggie Dietz

Bridesmaid

Maggie and Lauren met when Maggie transferred to Eureka and ended up going through their sorority’s new member process together. They bonded during that time while serving on committees, living on the same floor, and singing in choirs together. Their friendship has continued well beyond college. When Maggie and Lauren get together, they can talk about just about anything—often sharing updates about what’s currently happening in the sorority, since they both now serve on the advisory board. They enjoy catching up in person whenever they can, and it’s even easier now that they’ve found a favorite restaurant halfway between them.

Haley Brodahl

Bridesmaid

Haley and Lauren met as freshmen at Eureka, where they participated in choir and some theater together. They became especially close when they went through their sorority’s new member process together and later lived on the same floor. Many evenings were spent in the lounge watching movies and StarKid musicals. Haley, who has a love for animals, almost daily sends photos of her four cats—something Lauren enjoys since she and Micheil don’t have any cats of their own. Lauren and Micheil also enjoy planning game nights with Haley and her husband, Luke, who never seem to run out of new games to introduce to the bride and groom.

Laton Schnetzler

Best Man

Laton and Micheil met at Eureka College when assigned as random roommates their freshman year and remained roommates for nearly 8 years through college and post grad. Fun fact, they ran into each other at the Reagan Scholarship weekend where they became semifinalists. Freshman year of college there were definitely fun times to be had and growing periods. They joined the same fraternity during their Sophomore year where they met many of their future close friends. Laton has always been Micheil's go to guy when he needs to talk things out, to ramble, or generally ask for feedback. Micheil and Laton enjoy hanging out to catch up on life, enjoy a good cigar with a drink, go golfing, or just hangout by a fire.

Luke Brodahl

Groomsman

Luke and Micheil met at Eureka College their Freshman year where they shared almost the same schedule as they both majored in Biology at that time. Through shared classes, similary interests, many late night study sessions, and the occasional all night Minecraft session, a goofy friendship was made. Like Laton, Micheil and Luke also met at the Reagan Scholarship weekend and joined the same fraternity together. Lauren and Micheil enjoy hanging out with Luke and his wife Haley whether that is exploring Bloomington-Normal, enjoying the fall season, or playing board games.

Dustin Allen

Groomsman

Dustin and Micheil met at Eureka College when they joined the same fraternity. Throughout college and time in the fraternity they became friends. Micheil helped Dustin and his wife Kenadee remove wallpaper from their first house for hours one day over the weekend and enjoyed some well deserved beer and pizza when they finished. Micheil had the pleasure of being a groomsman at Dustin and Kenadee's wedding. Dustin has always had dad vibes given that he was often the mature one around a bunch of fraternity brothers and now he really is the dad in the group.
