Event attire terms are confusing, so here is what we are thinking for our big day! To us, black-tie optional attire means that if you want to go all out in a tuxedo or long gown, please do! We would love to give you an excuse to dress in your finest. If you'd prefer a suit or cocktail dress (of any length), that is great, too! Above all, wear what you are comfortable and happy in. We'll have a great time with you no matter what. Events will take place both outdoors and indoors, so layers are suggested.
Yes! After their send-off at the reception, Michael and Lauren will head to Cameron's Pub and Restaurant at 1410 S Cabrillo Hwy. We have the place to ourselves until 2:00am. We hope you'll join us for a beer!
Glad you asked! We would love for you to join us in singing the song 500 Miles by The Proclaimers after our ceremony! We will provide the lyrics; you just give it your best! If you want to practice, you can give the song a listen below. Valet and self-parking is available at the venue. Please consider carpooling to make valet parking as efficient as possible! Please also note that ride-share options like Uber and Lyft are very limited in the area - we do not suggest relying on a ride-share to get home. If needed, pre-scheduling with a taxi service would be your best bet.
Yes, you will not need to use transportation between events.
We ask that you avoid taking your own photos during our ceremony - we want to see you, our loved ones, as we are married...not your phones! Beyond the ceremony, take as many photos as you would like! And don't forget to stop by the photo booth :)
Please let us know if you can attend by June 2nd so we can finalize our details for the day.
In San Francisco, we call August "Fogust". Expect morning and evening ocean fog that burns off during the day with the sun. The average temperature is mid-60s.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. The dinner and reception will be indoors. Layers are key! While our ceremony will be in the evening, sunglasses may be a good idea, too.
We do recommend reserving a rental car for your stay. Half Moon Bay is about 25 miles from the San Francisco Airport, and it is not a very walkable area. Ride-share drivers are also very limited in Half Moon Bay.
We have not, but you can check out our Travel page for some recommendations close to the venue at various price points.
