What should I wear to the wedding and reception?

Answer

Women / girls: Anything from cocktail dress to Sunday best is fine! Men / boys: Suits, or slacks and jacket. Tie optional (except for wedding party).

Can I get around without a car?

Answer

There are plenty of buses that go in and around town. The Newark bus transit station is about a half mile from the hotel. (10-12 minute walk) Unicity (free, but only M-F): https://newarkde.gov/DocumentCenter/View/16390/Unicity-Bus-Schedule-08082022 DART (starts at $2 a trip). Can get to Wilmington and to / from Wilmington train station. https://dartfirststate.com Rideshare like Uber / Lyft also common.

How far are the venues from the hotel?

Answer

First Presbyterian Church is 2 miles from SpringHill Suites. The Deerfield is 4 miles from the church. SpringHill Suites is 4 miles from The Deerfield. All will take 10-15 minutes to drive between each!

Is there a grocery store near the hotel?

Answer

There is a shopping center two blocks from the hotel with an ACME supermarket.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

There will be 2 professional photographers at the event. Please be respectful of the space they need to capture the moments. You are welcome to take photos from your seat in the church (no flash).
