We both swiped right in 2019. Matt set up brunch at a French Restaurant in New York City a few days later. There was an immediate connection. After that, we started spending every weekend together, along with quick coffee dates a few times a week during lunch breaks. The true test came when Matt had to meet Lauren's puppy, Teddy. Fortunately, for Lauren, Teddy and Matt quickly fell in love. The rest was history....

We went on a family vacation to OBX in May 2022. At the end of the vacation, Lauren, Matt, Teddy, and Bella (two fur babies) went to watch the sunrise; a tradition when they go on vacations. While waiting for the sun to rise, Matt got down on one knee behind Lauren and asked her to turn around. He proposed with just Lauren and the pups on the beach as Lauren's parents and brother looked on from afar. It was perfect.
