Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Lauren Sanchez and Matthew Villanueva
[ Meet our wedding party who will be walking down the aisle with us. We feel so lucky for them to be a part our big day and more importantly our lives. ]

Lauren Sanchez

Bride

Boy, am I glad I'm not marrying someone like myself. Lauren Nicole, you are my favorite audience and partner to do life with. Thanks for asking me out first and accepting me and Francis and all our shit. You the realest. Gonna golf Saturday morning with the boys, brb. -BP

Matthew Villanueva

Groom

Sir Pook, the second funniest person I know after myself. I love you. I enjoy doing life with you as it's never a dull moment. You are my favorite DJ, karaoke-er and furdaddy to our Brown Dog Gang. I'm so glad I swiped right or was it left? -LP

Samantha Latino

Bridesmaid

Samantha is a friend that Lauren sees twice a year, but it never feels like any time has passed. They've been friends since middle school, which means they know just about every secret. Samantha is the most similar person to Lauren. Both are blunt, sarcastic and salty as they come which is probably why they've been friends for so long.

Elizabeth "Liz" Black

Bridesmaid

Liz has also been in Lauren's life since middle school and since have shared many memories together. They’ve created and recorded countless videos of themselves doing random things for fun before smartphones existed. Some of the most memorable were celebrating Spurs games, watching and quoting comedies over and over again (Old School and Mean Girls) and playing volleyball back when they were more athletic....ICE MANNNNN!

Ryan Jackson

Bridesmaid

Ryan will always be Ryan Green to Lauren. She was Lauren's Delta Gamma sorority little, and swears she was obsessed with her before they even met. Ryan has shared many great memories with Lauren such as attending Texas country concerts, getting their first ticket together and seeing who could be the first to overdraft their bank account at the Square. The biggest regret of their friendship was deciding that Frio was an acceptable beer.

Maggie Magee

Bridesmaid

Lauren met Maggie one day in DG but they didn't become closer until Lauren started grad school. Lauren always appreciated Maggie's love for margaritas and gossip. In college, Lauren and Maggie enjoyed outings with friends, tailgating and ending the night at Nephew's for a night cap, but more like a night grind.

Bella van der Gayton

Bridesmaid

Lauren also met Bella in DG and they became closer friends while Lauren was in grad school. Lauren somehow managed to cry the most in front of Bella. So, you can say Bella has seen her at her lowest lows and accepted her anyways. Lauren has always admired Bella's kindness and compassion for her friends and most of all, her ability to rage.

Damaris Rodriguez

Bridesmaid

Damaris, who also goes by "D" or Dammie, a nickname coined by Matthew and now their inside joke. Lauren met Damaris while working at the hospital early in their social work career. Lauren and Damaris connected right away between a space of vulnerability and laughter. Many years later, Lauren and Damaris became business partners and started their own PLLC. They continue to share dreams together as close friends and partners in business. Damaris especially supports Lauren when she's dehydrated and needs tea.

Lauren Womack

Bridesmaid

Lauren, who to the bride-to-be Lauren, will always be Lauren Lara. Lauren Sanchez to this day has yet to change it in her phone. The Laurens crossed paths initially in DG and after graduation both moved to Austin. During this time, they were in the same friend circle but didn't become closer until a few years ago. Lauren is one of the few people Lauren knows who also plays golf and doesn't keep score. Although they share a name and have much in common, what sets them apart is the ability to twerk.

Marissa Villanueva

Bridesmaid

Meet Marissa. Most probably already know who she is by way of Matthew; Marissa is Lauren's future sister-in-law. Lauren and her talk about how they actually wished they had another sibling, so this marriage works out for both of them! Marissa welcomed Lauren with a cold beer and right away Lauren felt just like family.

Logan Chism

Groomsman

Logan recalls his first encounter with Matthew was "jokingly" attempting to push him into a swimming pool. The attempted power move was the meanest thing he's ever done to the groom. Moving forward, The Chizz gave complimentary rides to high school, provides exceptional barbecue, but more importantly, has been always there for Matthew.

Rene Valenzuela

Groomsman

They first met on the gridiron of middle school football (let's not talk about the victor). They then attended high school and college together, were both mistaken for Mark Sanchez, and made many stories which certainly cannot be shared on here. Now, they just compete in fantasy football and on the fairways. Let's still not discuss the winners.

Louie Maldonado

Groomsman

Thick as thieves from Day 1. Louie was in the same fourth grade class as Matthew when he moved from Austin to San Antonio, and lived less than 5 minutes away from each other. A lot of sleepovers and workouts at Home Court America forged a bond that whenever they see each other, it's like picking off where it left off

Lance Cardenas

Groomsman

Matthew also befriended Lance in grade school. Lance has always provided the Devils Advocate, contrarian point-of-view, even if it is sometimes unwarranted. As adults, they started a music group, specifically a duet. Okay, they did karaoke. And maybe they only did a handful of the same songs, at best. But the memories live on, and maybe one day, they'll reunite for one song only. Fine, maybe two.

Charles "C.A." Garza

Groomsman

Another way back when, elementary school friend, C.A. has always pushed Matthew to the edge of his athletic abilities... even though the bandwidth may not have been that wide. C.A. often was gracious enough to let Matthew have the most fun at social gatherings by being his chauffeur, much to his father Mel's delight. C.A. now dedicates his time coaching Matthew and Lauren's fur children, Francis and Duncan.

Mark Valadez

Groomsman

Mark and Matthew met briefly in middle school but became friends in high school over jokes. They still kept in touch after transferring to different schools, and still kept telling jokes. Now in their 30s, they are both presumably more mature and wiser, but still continue to share jokes, and memes.

Alex McCloud

Groomsman

Matthew met Alex in Bryan/College Station, of all the places either of them would've expected to live, at the CBS affiliate news station. They resisted sipping on the maroon Kool-Aid, and instead bonded over movies, music, and ridiculous topics, and continue to stay connected even after Alex left Texas.

Jake Kobersky

Groomsman

Right next to that Border Collie, Jake is Matthew's favorite Aggie. They also met working together working in Bryan/College Station at CBS7. After serving their time in the Brazos Valley, both left Aggieland and reunited in Austin, where they continue to be obsessed with sports. Except now they can drink while doing it and make enough to pay the bills.

Mikey Mendoza

Flowerman

Lauren met Mikey at the best college ever and believes college wouldn't have been the same without him. Mikey embodies the phrase "LIFE OF THE PARTY (LIKE ANY PARTY)". Lauren has always admired Mikey's carefree attitude and liveliness. Their friendship has evolved over time and although they haven't lived in the same city since college, when they see each other, it feels like they are right back where they left off.

Paul Flores

Flowerman

As myself (Matthew) the eldest grandchild, it's been awesome to see you grow and be the same level of crazy off the wall hilarious person since you were a child. Just so you know, he likes his men like he likes his wine.
