Favorite coffee shop in BV!
Best breakfast or lunch spot in BV, owned by our friends the Wingo's!
Horses + mountains is really the best combo in my opinion, so here's a good option for trail rides if you want to live out your Colorado cowboy/cowgirl dreams.
St. Elmo is an old mining "ghost town", about an hours drive into the mountains. I don't have much to say other than its sick... and worth the drive. If you go, make sure you also stop to feed the chipmunks.
Some easy to moderate hiking trails that are walking distance from main street BV, with great views of the collegiate peaks!
Cottonwood Lake is about a 30 minute drive from BV, up into the mountains. It's a beautiful drive and just a fun place to explore!
If you're feeling up for a challenge, or you're just a little insane, try hiking one of the several 14-ers around BV! These are some of the tallest mountains in the U.S., reaching above 14,000 ft in elevation. Incredible strenuous, but totally worth it. And if you're going to commit, Mt. Harvard is the best one.
