Metra train is a good option for those coming from Chicago. It will require a taxi from the last train stop to Lake Geneva, WI. (Fox Lake stop and Harvard stop are close by- but several routes available) If you're coming from Detroit, you can take the Amtrak Wolverine line to Chicago Union Station and walk to Ogilvie Train Station. Then, take the Metra train up to Fox Lake or Harvard.
