FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for parking and seating. We recommend arriving early so you can settle in and enjoy the surroundings before we begin.

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be held at Elm’s Mansion in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor and outdoor reception.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal garden attire. We invite guests to dress in elegant, elevated styles that complement the setting—suits, cocktail dresses, or floor-length gowns in soft, seasonal tones are all perfect choices.

Question

Are there any attire recommendations for the venue?

Answer

As portions of the celebration will take place outdoors, we recommend block heels or wedges for comfort on grass and brick pathways. Lightweight fabrics are also encouraged for the New Orleans climate.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of those participating in our bridal party. We hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the evening!

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Parking is available along the surrounding streets near the venue. We recommend allowing a few extra minutes to find a spot, or using Uber or Lyft for a more seamless arrival.

Question

Is there public transportation nearby?

Answer

For a true New Orleans experience, a streetcar stop is conveniently located on the same block as the venue at St. Charles and Eighth Street. This offers an easy and scenic way to arrive. For routes, fares, and passes, please visit the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority website.

Question

Are there room blocks?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved room blocks at nearby hotels. Please visit the Travel section of our website for booking details and deadlines.
