I'm stumped for outfit ideas, can you help?

We love cool, woodsy tones, soft yellows, and deep umbers and oranges ! Our wedding colours are inspired by the green Wallace hunting tartan and our wonderful scenic location. If you want to share outfit ideas with the bride and groom feel free to reach out ! Please note the moodboard is a guideline, not a rulebook! Can we explore the grounds between ceremony and reception?

Answer

We have full run of the grounds for the entire day, so feel welcome to take a stroll around. Please note that swimming during the wedding is not encouraged, due to the presence of alcohol. Make sure to keep an eye on the time so you don't miss any of the day!

Is parking provided?

Answer

Yes! There is lots of parking provided at the venue. We do ask that any of our friends and family who are travelling from up or down the island celebrate responsibly, by arranging a designated driver or taxi pick-up.

Do you have recommendations for accommodation?

Answer

There are a myriad of small bed and breakfast options in the area, but if you are looking for a more traditional hotel experience, we will list some options below. Please note we have not reserved a hotel block for this event, and cannot guarantee availability! Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay - Oceanfront Hotel Accommodation, 20 minute drive to venue. This option is noted to have somewhat dated decor but incomparable Cowichan Bay views. Moon Water Lodge - Inlet view rooms, 15 minute drive to venue. This option is the closest to our venue that isn't a privately owned Bed and Breakfast, and the views of the inlet are striking! Best Western Cowichan Valley Inn - Traditional Best Western experience, 30 minute drive to venue. For all those who are collecting Best Western points, this would be your closest option. We will continue to add accommodation options as they become known to us. If you have a recommendation in the area, please contact the Bride or Groom so we can post it!

Can we take photos or video throughout the day?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged.This means devices away! If you'd like to take photos and video before or after, such as during our reception, we would love to see your perspective of our day! We do ask that all guests be mindful of where our phenomenal photographer Ryan is, to prevent him from ducking and weaving cellphones as he captures all the special moments.
