We first met in 2018 while attending Bowie High School in Austin, Texas. Our assigned seats were right next to each other in our AP Environmental Science class, and we became quick friends (even though Mark let Lauren believe that his name was Mike for 3 weeks...). About a year and a half later, Mark took us on our first date where he mercilessly beat Lauren at mini-golf. Luckily, Lauren's ego wasn't too bruised and we're still together over 6 years later! We supported each other through the tail end of high school, the pandemic, and both of our college careers at Texas State University (Eat 'Em Up!). Then, on our 5th anniversary, Mark proposed!!! As we prepare for our wedding, we are also adapting to life in Houston, TX, while Lauren attends optometry school at the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and Mark continues in his career in finance. We feel so lucky to have been able to support each other and grow together through all the different seasons of life, and are so excited for this next chapter we're about to begin!
