We were done! We both had prior failed marriages, and the dating scene in Central PA was less than promising for two stable individuals in their mid-late thirties. So, what did we both do? Create last-ditch effort Tinder profiles, of course! Because no one meets anyone in real life these days. Marc thought Lauren's profile was a fake robot profile until he recognized the trail at Thousand Steps on her photos (thanks for the photo selection, Mike!) Lauren immediately saw Marc's pictures (including Ranger, ridiculous faces, mutton chops, and a handlebar mustache) and thought, "This one is outdoorsy, likes dogs, and seems to have a sense of humor! Let's go!" Marc didn't waste any time. Within 2 days of messaging, we had a date at 8:00 a.m. at the Green Bean Coffeehouse in Altoona, PA. We immediately felt like we had known each other for years and couldn't stop talking. We were best friends right off the bat! Best friends who both loved the mountains, dogs, hiking, nature, running, coffee, food, sunrises, early mornings, and God. Several sunrise hikes later, the rest is history.
