Over the months, their connection grew deeper, and by January 2021, when Lauren visited Lars’s family, their bond flourished into love. Together, they’ve explored the world, from the serene fjords of Norway to the vibrant streets of Amsterdam, with unforgettable adventures in Sweden and Croatia. They weathered a year of long-distance while Lauren finished school, their love growing stronger through late-night calls and heartfelt letters. After taking the leap to move in together, they began a new chapter in Chicago, soon welcoming their cat, Lemon, into their home, growing their little family to four alongside Lauren’s beloved cat, Olive. Their shared passions—animals, the great outdoors, music, personal growth, and savoring life’s small moments—have woven their lives tightly together. One of their most cherished memories came in December 2024, when Lars planned a nostalgic return to the Colorado mountains, where their love had first taken root. High above the snow-dusted peaks, Lars proposed, with Lauren’s friends and family waiting nearby to surprise her with joy and celebration. Now, they’re thrilled to begin their forever, hand in hand, with their loved ones by their side.
