In 2019, Lauren decided to go back onto Hinge, a popular dating app, one more time before deleting it. In her messages, she found a DM from Lamour waiting there. Lauren thought to herself that she would message him back and if it went nowhere she would give up dating for a while. And while she did give up dating (more than one person), it was not for the reason she thought. Lauren and Lamour met on their first date in Bryant Park in NYC, even though Lauren detests the city. She took the train in and met him at the park. They proceeded to walk The High Line, go to a bar Lamour liked frequenting with coworkers, and enjoy a nice stroll back to Penn Station. Lamour waited on the train platform until Lauren's train came and made sure that she got on safely. This was the beginning of the end. They both went home that night and decided they would keep seeing each other, even though Lauren was hesitant that their distance (again hated the city) would be an issue. For the next 6 years, Lauren and Lamour continued growing and being there for each other.
