Chapter 1: Lauren meets Kyle Lauren and Kyle both went to Providence College as the Class of 2012. Lauren says they briefly crossed paths at Old's, but as with any story originating from that establishment, the details are a bit hazy. Kyle spent many nights at Lauren's house senior year, unaware that his future soulmate was just two floors above him. They each met lifelong friends at PC but fate wasn't ready to bind them yet. After graduation, they each left New England to pursue their passions. Lauren endured the brutal Cornell winters for the sake of a graduate degree and career in the medical field. Kyle endured brutal years in the law school library for the sake of season tickets to Notre Dame football. Chapter 2: Kyle Meets Lauren Fate brought them to Boston for a second try. They were both invited to the surprise birthday party of a fellow Friar at Lauren's favorite Seaport bar, Lucky's. Kyle spotted their mutual friend, Emma, and knowing she had brought some of her Icelandic friends, Kyle came over to introduce himself. After he'd welcomed the last (and cutest) of the blondes and told her where to hide for the surprise, she matter-of-factly responded "Hi Kyle, I'm Lauren Hartigan we went to school for four years together." Kyle now relies on Lauren for introductions when they are in public. If you think it was love at first sight, then you clearly haven't been paying attention. Months later, Kyle eventually fell for Lauren when he saw her in a 80's workout costume at a Southie Halloween party. His costume as the pudgy toothless kid from Stranger Things didn't have the same effect. After 5 rejected requests for her to join him for a movie, a brief run-in at their 5 year PC reunion, and about 5 more date rejections, Kyle gave up hope. Then, on a whim, Lauren called Kyle up to join her for a date at Trillium on the Greenway. She brought out her two secret weapons, Butters and a sundress. Kyle was hooked, and by the end of the night so was she.
