FAQs

Question

Where is the Welcome Party at?

Answer

The Welcome Party is taking place at Aurum Food & Wine Snowmass. This restaurant is just steps away from the Viewline hotel. For easiest access, if you are staying at the hotel, head out towards the mountain and take the Sky Cab gondola down to the village mall (quick 5 minute ride). When you get off of the gondola, you will be steps away from Aurum!

Question

How do I get to and from the venue?

Answer

We will have shuttles to take guests to the venue on the day of the wedding! There will be three shuttle busses stationed outside of the hotel and they will be departing for Buttermilk at 3PM. Shuttles will also be available to take you back to the hotel in the evening starting at 9:30 PM.

Question

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

Yes. While we highly recommend you take advantage of the shuttles, you can park at the venue. They do allow overnight parking, so if you would like to drive there and shuttle back, you can do that as well!

Question

How do we get to the ceremony?

Answer

When you arrive to the venue, follow the path to the chairlift and take the lift up to the top of the mountain. Please keep in mind that the last lift up to get to the ceremony on time will be at 3:45 PM.

Question

I'm nervous about riding the chairlift. What should I expect?

Answer

If you’re a bit nervous about the heights, don't worry! This is a slow-speed, scenic ride specifically timed for our wedding. The lift features a flat loading platform to make getting on and off a breeze. If you need a little extra time, the lift operators can slow the chair down or even bring it to a full stop just for you. Just let the staff know as you approach!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside on top of the mountain. Cocktail hour will follow after the ceremony outside of the lodge at the base of mountain, with the reception to follow inside of the lodge.

Question

What should I anticipate staying at a higher elevation?

Answer

When you are at a higher elevation you can expect to get dehydrated faster, which also means you feel the affects of alcohol faster. Be mindful of this and be sure to drink lots of water! You are also much closer to the sun, so be sure to protect your skin with sunscreen!

Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Think elevated party dresses (like midis, maxis, tailored jumpsuits, etc.) or a sharp suit and tie!
