Welcome To Our Wedding Website

We figured the most convenient way to communicate with all of our guests would be through this website! We are hoping to have more information on travel and stay as our date gets a little closer. Please check back periodically for more information about our big day!

How We Met

October 7, 2019

Kyle & I met through our mutual hairdresser and beloved friend, Betsy! We've all vented to our hair stylists, and we were lucky enough to confide in the same one. After hearing our stories of looking for love in all the wrong places, she attempted to set us up on a completely blind date. I say "attempted", because of course I couldn't resist stalking his Facebook page. Our first date was at a local bar with a pool table... which would go on to be the one and only time I have ever (and probably will ever) beat this man in a game of pool. If you ask him, he'll tell you he let me win. I like to think otherwise. We spent the whole night laughing- my laughter was mostly out of nerves, but if you know Kyle you're confident he can carry on a conversation with a brick wall. I mean honestly, it was love at first tequila shot. We've pretty much been inseparable from that day forward.

The Proposal

December 26, 2020

We were visiting Kyle's family in St. Louis (shoutout to Steve & Jennifer) for Christmas. We all know Kyle isn't the nervous type, so I could tell something was definitely off from the start. The day after Christmas we decided to take advantage of the decorations and were planning a "family photo shoot" in front of the tree. He was so persistent that day with having his shirt ironed and wearing dress shoes, which is definitely out of the norm. Of course I questioned him- after all, these were just casual pictures with the tree! He tried to play it cool, but if you know how long it takes me to get dressed, you'll understand that this is where he gave it away: I was wearing my denim overalls going for comfortability over style. He proceeded to try to talk me out of wearing said overalls, which definitely set off the alarms! Most of the time he's telling me to "hurry it up" and that "it doesn't matter"! Bless his heart, he knew I'd kill him if I had never changed. I was so suspicious that I texted my best friend Darian and said, "What if he's proposing today? He's acting weird". She said there's no way he would have asked for her help, so I agreed and moved on. After all, he had previously told me a proposal would be at least several years down the road. Little did I know he had been planning to propose since July! As the rest of the family stalled and stood by the tree for their own pictures, I was sitting there thinking, "ok am I actually going to be in any of these?". Finally, they asked Kyle and I to be in one together. I smiled for the camera that was unknowingly recording, when I noticed sweet miss Jeyleigh Jane walk out with a sign saying, "Will you marry my Daddy?". And here the three of us are today, planning our forever together!
