Although Kurt had heard about Lauren for many years, they first met on a late August afternoon, almost 3 years to the day of the wedding. A mutual friend, Kenny Warner, brought Kurt over to Lauren's potential new home as his 'local architect' to study the possibility of adding a second bathroom to the home. What they both thought was a simple design meeting, turned out to be a bit of a set up by our good friend Kenny (sneaky, sneaky!). When Lauren first opened the door, Kurt was floored by her beauty, smile, and overall incredible looks. Lauren too was shocked that he wasn't a 60+ year old Architect and instead a super hot stud. The two shared laughs as they walked around the home, feeling the tensions and excitement. Lauren even got Kurt to stand in the tiny shower with his head poking up into the skylight. Little did Kurt know this would be the shower he stood in every morning in his near future... but Lauren knew all along! After the initial meeting, it took Kurt a good six months to stop being such a chicken and finally man up to hang out with Lauren. Since then the two have been inseparable, are insanely happy, motivate one another, and are excited for the future. The love for one another is something you don't find everyday!! Who knew, one day someone may enter your life and change everything you ever knew. Cheers to the future!

As it turns out, both of our families have been visiting Steamboat since we were little kiddos. Over the years this has become a special place for the two of us. Our first vacation together was here and the two of us have been attached at the hip ever since. Getting married on the river is the perfect place and we could not be more delighted to share it with you in August. Steamboat is so much fun in the summer and the activities are endless!! We encourage everyone to stay in town (see map below and accommodation details) where the best dining, coffee shops, shopping, cowboy boots, and excursions can be found. The idea is to park your car when you arrive and walk everywhere for the entire weekend so everyone stays safe. We hope you will take some time for golf, biking, hot springs, day spa, tubing the river, hiking, fishing, enjoying patios, or anything the valley has to offer. We look forward to making lasting 'boat' memories with you!!
