Question

What is a second line?

Answer

Second-lines are a popular tradition among New Orleans weddings. It signifies the beginning of a new life together. A brass band blares while the newlyweds lead the procession with umbrellas in hand, and the wedding party and guests follow the band with handkerchiefs. Everyone is welcome to join in and many do!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend cocktail attire! For the ladies: cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits. For the men: suits or dark jackets and slacks. Please, no jeans.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the reception. Adults only, please!

Question

Are there any other events I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, please be aware there is a large medical convention taking place in New Orleans the same weekend as the wedding. This has increased demand in hotel booking. We recommend booking your stay ASAP.

Question

Answer

Yes, there is valet parking available at the Roosevelt Hotel (right across from church).
