There are events happening all over the city with live music, food, and plenty to do, including the crowd-favorite DockDogs competition where dogs compete by jumping off docks. It’s a fun way to explore the area and enjoy a classic Midwest summer weekend while you’re here!
Just a 10-minute walk from the DoubleTree Hotels, Pickle Palace is a fun spot to play pickleball, try duckpin bowling, or grab food and drinks. The space features indoor and outdoor courts, casual dining, and local craft beer from Clock House Brewing. Pickle Palace is located next to our welcome party venue. We highly recommend reserving your space in advance as courts/lanes book up!
The Field of Dreams Movie Site is nestled in the rolling hills of Dyersville, Iowa about an hour and 20 minute from Cedar Rapids.
Dash Coffee is a local favorite for great coffee and fresh pastries. Brewhemia is located in the NewBo district and is a populat spot for breakfast and coffee. I'll Meet You There is a new cozy bookstore and coffee shop located in Czech Village.
Black Sheep Social Club serves creative twists on comfort food with a focus on local ingredients. Big Grove Brewery is one of our favorite spots for great food, craft beer, and a lively atmosphere. Need Pizza is a laid-back spot known for its giant New Haven–style pies and craft beers. Cobble Hill focuses on locally sourced produce, craft cocktails and has an extensive wine selection. Reservations are highly recommended. 350 First is located on the top floor of the DoubleTree, offering panoramic views of Cedar Rapids alongside upscale American dining.
