December 31, 2021, New Year's Eve. The end of a year and the beginning of a new one. Neither knew what 2022 would bring, but it all changed when Josh and Lauren laid eyes on one another at a friend's New Year's Eve party. The entire night, they didn't cross paths. It wasn't until the very end of the party when Lauren was helping clean up. She came over to a table where Josh was sitting with his friends. Josh and his friends were playing Jenga and the first thing that Josh said to Lauren was, "Hey, do you want to play with us?". Lauren politely declined his invitation but still introduced herself and walked away. Little did she know that Josh could not get her out of his mind and told his friend that "he was going to marry that girl." And little did Josh know that she too could not stop thinking about him. They both prayed to the Lord that they would run into each other again. He answered their prayers a week later by bringing them back together and showing them where they needed to build their foundation for a relationship, in Him, at church. After services, they would go to In-N-Out with friends and talk all night long. The Lord was patiently building their friendship and soon allowed it to blossom into something deeper. Josh soon asked her out on a date and the rest was history. They knew without a doubt that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. We are both so blessed to have found one another and we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us and our marriage.
