Saguaro Lake is about 20 minutes from Fountain Hills and is one of the most beautiful spots in Tonto National Forest. One way to enjoy the lake is a narrated cruise aboard the Desert Belle Riverboat! We have loved this cruise in the past and highly recommend booking one with live music if possible. We have seen a few bald eagles on this cruise as well!
One of our absolute favorite places to stop when we are in Arizona! Old Town has tons of stores, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and more. It's kitschy and cowboy all in the best way possible.
This scenic 6,415-yard, par-71 championship course is known for its narrow fairways and canyons. Signature hole #7 was voted one of Arizona’s best. Fountain Hills’ oldest course, this is just one of MANY different courses throughout Fountain Hills and Scottsdale. When it comes to golf, you really can't go wrong with any course you choose to play!
The Adero Canyon Trailhead is a hike we have enjoyed during our time in Fountain Hills! It is accessible from dawn to dusk each day, seven days a week. To access the trailhead, follow N. Eagle Ridge Drive from Palisades through the Adero Canyon neighborhoods. Like golf - there are many more trails to explore as well!
This is the local casino that has state-of-the-art gaming machines, sports book and live table and poker games. Win or lose, we have both had fun spending some time here!
Another great place for shopping and dining in Scottsdale. Some of our favorite restaurants here include The Greene House, North Italia and Postino WineCafe.
