Unknowingly, I walked past Jordan and caught his eye. He looked at his co-worker saying, "who is that girl? I have to get to know her!" Years later, he finally got to know me. Throughout COVID we were able to build a very strong foundation for a relationship, learning things about each other that would normally take a lot longer to learn. We instantly knew that this was the start of something special! Since then we have grown so much together and have created a very loving, caring, trusting, and strong relationship. We have built a home together and can not wait to build our lives together!
On January 7, 2022, Jordan decided to get down on one knee and pop the question in our backyard. It was the first good snow of the season (perfect timing for meteorologist Jordan) and it was freezing! I was out getting my nails done (also perfect timing might I add) and Jordan knew he would have the house to himself for a good amount of time. Him and his brother set up twinkling lights in the woods behind our house, put candles in the snow, sprinkled rose petals on the ground, and hung signs. When I got home, Jordan blind folded me and led me to the backyard... that's when I knew something was up! Once we were to the candles he asked me to remove my blindfold and I was stunned. I was looking at him down on one knee with all the candle light surrounding us and couldn't believe how much thought and effort went into the whole engagement. Of course I said yes!
