I first noticed Jordan when my parents and I were visiting Fortified Hills Baptist church the summer before my senior year of high school. I was sitting in the back and noticed a handsome, dark-headed young man get up and make his way to the alter to bend down and pray. From that moment I knew I wanted to get to know this humble man. We got to know each other at church over the next few weeks until he finally asked for my number! Fast forward four months of friendly conversation and a few dates, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. I got to know what a kind, very funny, and selfless man Jordan is. He learned how to make me laugh when I didn't feel like it, and he made sure to listen more than he talked when I needed to share my feelings. We definitely had our ups and downs, but we trusted that God had a special plan for us. He taught Jordan and I valuable lessons throughout our courtship as He led us towards a Christ-centered relationship. Jordan opened up my heart to true love and continues to show me what it means to be treasured by your best friend. Four years later and we are on our way to becoming husband and wife!

I remember the first time I saw Lauren was at church. Her and her family were sitting in the the back. It was the kind of first glance where you suddenly feel flushed, and then you have to suck in and stand up straight cause although you don't know who this girl is at the time, you know you have to talk to her. We would meet over the next few weeks through youth and the college groups at church. This is where I first got to see Lauren's fun and loving personality. This would be the start of our relationship and the next four years. Lauren would become the person I could share anything with, and I have never been more open and truthful with anyone before. She is my bestfriend, my confidant, and my true love who is the biggest blessing in my life. I still joke with her now that one day I'll suddenly wake up and it would have been all a dream. Over the years she has seen me go through lots of change and trials but she has always been a rock to keep me straight. I once told her that my goal in our relationship is that she would continue to raise the bar and my mission is to reach that bar, but I would never reach it. She encourages me to be the godly man I strive to be and I can't wait for the future we will have together.
