We met at Grace City church in Denver, CO. We were friends through church for about a year until another friend planted the idea in both of our heads on the same day at a pool party in June of 2022…. Jordan was open to the idea and Lauren “wasn’t opposed.” After a few dates and several weeks of long distance calls from Denver to Chicago, we started to see what God was orchestrating and began to pursue one another more intentionally at the end of July.

Lauren & Jordan volunteer together with the children’s ministry at Grace City Denver, and the first day they were able to serve together Jordan saw it as the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Jordan & his proposal crew had cleaned out, rearranged and decorated the nursery and labeled it with a “Do Not Enter” sign. After service (and a lot of behind the scenes coordination to make sure Lauren didn’t walk in the nursery) while the kids were being dismissed, Jordan ducked out to get things ready in the nursery. Everyone helped coordinate getting Lauren into the candle lit nursery, where Jordan was waiting with flowers. He got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him, to which Lauren responded, “yes!” without a second thought! We're so excited to have you all celebrate with us, and continue to pour into our lives to in our next chapter together! We can’t wait to see you in February!
