Things To Do

You'll notice many of these things to do are bourbon-centric, but did you really even visit Louisville if you didn't drink any bourbon...?

Angel's Envy Distillery

500 East Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 890-6300

The only "full-production" distillery in downtown, Angel's Envy crafts all of their small-batch whiskey at their Main Street facility. With options for tours and tastings, a trip to Angel's Envy is a great way to spend a couple hours of your time in Louisville.

Old Forester Distilling Co.

119 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 779-2222

Louisville's newest "urban distillery" (and a favorite libation of the bride and groom) the Old Forester Distillery re-opened in 2018 in the former home of the original distillery that began operation in 1870. Old Forester is the first bourbon to be mass produced in sealed bottles and the longest running production bourbon in the world.

Evan Williams Bourbon Experience

528 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 584-2114

Experience the life and contributions of Evan Williams, Kentucky’s first commercial distiller, through guided tours, featuring an artisanal still that reflects the timeless process of how Bourbon was made centuries ago; and educational tastings that capture the character of his namesake brand.

Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse

404 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 855-8392

Located at the popular 4th Street Live! plaza downtown, the Urban Stillhouse is a look inside a small working distillery, and a build-your-own-bottle experience that can be filled with bourbon exclusively available at the Stillhouse. You'll also find interactive kiosks to learn about Jim Beam's extensive bourbon portfolio, with cocktail recipes you can download directly to your email, retail merchandise, and bottle engraving for special souvenirs.

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory

800 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (877) 775-8443

Home of the world's largest baseball bat, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory showcases the history of Louisville Slugger baseball bats along with other pop culture exhibits.

The Frazier History Museum

829 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 753-5663

Located on what is called "Museum Row" on Main Street in downtown Louisville, The Frazier is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute. The Frazier is also the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and home to some really cool bourbon themed exhibits.

Kentucky Science Center

727 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 561-6100

Another attraction located on Louisville's "Museum Row", the Kentucky Science Center is Kentucky's largest hands-on science museum. With cool exhibits and even a movie theater, the Science Center is fun for kids and adults alike...though I don't think they serve any bourbon...

Sidebar at Whiskey Row

129 North 2nd Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 384-1600

For the best burgers in town! This is a date night favorite, with amazing food and a fun bourbon bar!

Porch Kitchen & Bar

280 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY 40202
, (502) 671-4246

Feast BBQ

909 East Market Street, Louisville, KY 40206
, (502) 749-9900
For all the days along the way
