Where is the venue?
Answer
10440 Jefferson Hwy, Mineral VA 23117. Please do NOT use Waze as it will take you to the other side of the property where there is no entrance. We recommend using Google Maps!

Where do I park?
Answer
Please follow the signs that will show you where to park. You should leave your car in a gravel lot located at the front of the property. There will be attendants to take you to the ceremony site via golf cart if needed. Feel free to walk to the ceremony site! It is a short, beautiful walk past the lake. You are able to leave your car overnight if necessary. It would just need to be picked up by 10am the next morning!

Are children invited?

If anyone knows us, you know we love your kids, but we want this to be your date night out! Consider this a chance to have a kid-free evening and thoroughly enjoy celebrating with us!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
We want our wedding to be intimate and enjoyed with all of our loved ones. Please check your invitation to see if a guest is included.

Can we take photos/videos?
Answer
We've hired a photographer to capture our special day, so we please ask that the ceremony remain completely unplugged. Please refrain from using all electronics until cocktail hour.

Are the ceremony and reception outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place outdoors (weather permitting). Since this is a June wedding, the temperatures could get high. Please plan to dress accordingly. There will be plenty of fans in the greenhouse and pavilion areas to cool us down. Ladies, please wear shoes that you are comfortable walking in!

How do you accommodate guests with disabilities?
Answer
Avonlea is a handicap, ADA compliant, accessible venue. They have an ADA compliant venue restroom, ramps from the greenhouse and pavilion, and concrete pathways all over the venue. Staff members are trained to be helpful to guests with wheelchairs, canes, walkers, and crutches. There is extra room on the deck for the ceremony pews where wheelchairs can easily fit. We want to make sure every guest enjoys their time at Avonlea Farms.
