Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favourite things to do. Please be sure to check out what you can! A childhood favourite, the Thurston Country Fair is in town. If you arrive early, July 26-30th only, it's fun country fair for all. Be sure to try a scone! Our suggestions range from the Lacey/Olympia area (the most southern locations during our wedding weekend), through Tacoma (mid-area), all the way up to Seattle. Plus, Mt. Rainier - a must see! Ruston Way (area in Tacoma) is not included below. It is a lovely place to have a stroll along the waterfront and to try an excellent seafood restaurant or two.

Mount Rainier National Park

A must see!!! Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers. Subalpine wildflower meadows ring the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Rainier’s lower slopes. Wildlife abounds in the park’s ecosystems. A lifetime of discovery awaits.

Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge

Point Defiance Park - Zoo & Aquarium

Scenic park offering more than 700 acres of woodland trails, gardens and waterfront views, along with a zoo and aquarium.

Seattle City-Pass

If you're planning to do a bit of the amazing sightseeing activities Seattle has to offer, you should consider the Seattle City-Pass. It has an option of 5 or 3 different venues (including The space needle!)
