A great place for a little hiking, close to downtown Frankfort.
Salato Wildlife Center
Known as the "Game Farm" when we were growing up, this is a great place for kids and adults alike to learn about Kentucky's wildlife and environment--also a great place for a picnic, and to get some steps in.
Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary
The site of many field trips in Lauren & Jeremy's youth.
Kentucky History Center & Museums
The name says it all--check it out to learn more about the Commonwealth of Kentucky!

Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial
A uniquely designed sun dial memorial to Kentucky's fallen soldiers. Also the site of many cross country meets for Jeremy!

There's a good chance on any given Friday night, you'll find Lauren's dad and his girlfriend Susan here enjoying some wine and live tunes.
Bourbon On Main
Delicious food and good people. Located in the building where the bar was that Lauren celebrated her 21st birthday. River views!
Garcia's Mexican Restaurant
Home of excellent margaritas, Lauren's favorite fish tacos, and Jeremy's favorite the Quesadilla Garcia.
Hoggy's Ice Cream
Great spot for a tasty treat in downtown Frankfort. Lauren has actually never been here yet, and plans to remedy that asap.
