The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is famous for a reason. Some of the best wine in the country is made here. If you’re up for a wine tour check out senecalakewine.com/wine-trail-maps/ If you think a tour may be overkill, stay close to Geneva and check out these Wineries. Ventosa Vineyards - We decided to host our wedding here for a reason! Three Brothers Wine Cellars - This is one of the more fun wineries to visit on Seneca Lake’s famous wine trail. They have a wide variety of wines and also brew their own beer called War Horse. Wicked Water - Wicked Water is an Urban Farm Winery. What does that mean? Well, I don’t really know, but if you go there, I’m sure they’ll tell you. It’s located in downtown Geneva at 78 Castle St.
For you manly men/women that can’t be caught drinking wine, a plethora of small micro-breweries have popped up all over the area in the past couple of years so go taste away. You do not have to go to every Brewery on these tours. You can, but I highly recommend against it. Afterall, we would like you to be alive for our wedding. With that being said check out these Brewery Tours as there are simply too many breweries to list at this point: Seneca Lake Loop: This loop features 19 breweries. Start in Geneva at Lake Drum or WeBe and make your way around the lake. It’s longer than you think! Walk through Kershaw Park and out onto the Pier along Canandaigua Lake. Take a stroll up Main St. and poke your head into the boutiques that line Canandaigua's historic downtown.
If you are looking for good ice cream, consider making a pilgrimage to Sharks. From Geneva, it's no quick trip, but trust us, it's worth it. It's the best there is.
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge.
