Lauren is an avid reader, board-game lover, and creative soul who enjoys painting and all kinds of arts and crafts. She’s always up for an adventure—like hiking up a mountain or roping friends into a spontaneous Wingspan game. When she’s not on the move, you’ll usually find her curled up with a good book or hanging out with Jeffery and their two cats.
Jeffery Tian
Groom
Jeffery is the resident chef of the household, happiest when experimenting in the kitchen or sharing homemade meals with friends. He loves staying active—on the slopes, at the climbing gym, or in a friendly match of volleyball or ping pong. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll often find him jumping into a game of Valorant or playing Smash with friends.
Kayla Hoang
Maid of Honor
Kayla met Lauren freshman year of college as they survived the Computer Science program at UW. Lauren feels like a childhood friend that Kayla has always known. They worked on homework every day at her apartment with her cat Coco snuggling up next to them, talked about boys at sleepovers, and made each other laugh so hard they’d forget about the stress of school and life. Kayla is really glad that Lauren found someone like Jeffery who never fails to make her laugh, even when life gets hard.
Eric Jeong
Best Man
Eric has known Jeffery since the start of college. They've made so many good memories, such as spending time with our fraternity, “studying” throughout college, and losing countless hours of sleep playing “one more game”. Lauren has become one of Eric's closest friends as they’ve climbed, played endless board games, and went on many memorable trips together. Eric is so happy for two of the closest people in his life to get married, and he's excited to see what’s in store for them next!
Sophie Rotter
Bridesmaid
Sophie met the lovely bride about a year and half ago (September 6th, 2024 to be exact), and the two bonded very quickly. From dinners out together to many double date adventures, it has been an honor for Sophie to get to know Lauren, and she is very thrilled to be there for Lauren and Jeff’s special day. Here’s to the wonderful couple and a lifetime of friendship!
Lewis Back
Best Man
Lewis has been Jeffery’s best friend (not open for discussion) for 15 years since meeting in 6th grade. When not studying for med school, Lewis enjoys golfing, cooking, making music, and photography. Lewis is very honored and excited to be a part of Jeffery and Lauren’s special day!
Josiah Thulin
Bridesman
Josiah is thrilled to celebrate Lauren and Jeff’s special day as one of Lauren’s bridesmaids! He loves to bake, read, crochet, and find good coffee around Seattle. Josiah and Lauren go way back-having been friends since early primary school. Through movie nights and high school science projects, moving to college and finding their place in the wider world, Josiah feels Lauren has always been someone he could turn to through the ups and downs of life. He is so grateful to call her a friend.
Michael Gearhart

Michael has known Jeffery since high school and met Lauren after she and Jeffery had been dating for a few months. Since then he has enjoyed skiing, board games, and playing valorant with the incredibly fun couple. Michael is currently living in Omaha with his wife, Ena, and is going through flight training there.
Jennifer Fu
Bridesmaid
Jennifer Fu is a proud sister to both the groom to-be (by blood) and bride to-be (in law and in love). She is a devoted mom of a beautiful Siamese cat and spends her free time and disposable income adorning him with knitwear or purchasing Siamese-related merchandise for herself.
Sebastian Quintana
Groomsman
Sebastian Quintana is a longtime friend of the couple. Over the years, he has spent many nights playing board games with the crew—more often than not, losing to Lauren—and eating delicious meals prepared by Jeffery. He enjoys casual bike rides and collecting old textbooks.
Jessica Fu
Bridesmaid
Jessica Fu is a sister of the groom. She spends a third of her waking hours playing board games with the soon-to-be married couple. She’s ecstatic to participate in the wedding and to bear witness to a lifetime of their love.
Eman Jeddy
Groomsman
Eman is Jeff’s brother-in-law. He’s usually losing to Jeff in a game of ping pong and to Lauren at every other game, and it’s not clear to him why they keep asking him to play. He’s nonetheless elated that they’re getting married, and he can’t wait to spend more time convincing them both that Jeff and Eman are the same height.
Christy Monroy

Christy is the proud sister of the beautiful bride. She's also a mom of three kids and five dogs. She finds joy in creating, restoring, and caring for the people she loves. Watching Lauren and Jeffery's relationship evolve has been one of the greatest gifts of her life.
Andrew Vreeken

Andrew is Lauren’s older brother. Growing up with Lauren has given him a front-row seat to her kindness, strength, and heart. Watching her find that same love and support in Jeff has been incredibly special to Andrew. He is so grateful to celebrate this day with them.
Karen Gaffney
Officiant
Karen Gaffney is a close friend of Lauren and Jeffery’s from UW. Their friendship began on the volleyball courts of the IMA and quickly grew into weekly board game nights, ski trips, and many shared memories. Karen is deeply honored to officiate the union of two of the most caring and wonderful people she’s had the privilege to call friends.
