Technology brought us together and kept us together. After meeting online, we spent 3 months getting to know each other before actually having time to go on our first date. Jarrod was away at work for 4 weeks at a time and had a big trip planned on his next few weeks off and Lauren had a busy schedule with work events out of state. Eventually, they had time to go on their first date. Jarrod picked Lauren up. He got out in the rain to open the door for her and mentioned he brought her a drink (his favorite- a Dr Pepper). Jarrod opened the door for Lauren after they arrived at Gastro Pub in Appleton; once inside, he spun her around like in the movies, and told her she looked beautiful. By the third date, Jarrod knew he was serious about Lauren and they started their relationship. On August 11th, 2024 on a sunset cruise off the Amalfi Coast in Italy, Jarrod asked Lauren to spend the rest of their lives together. It was a dream. Lauren is so thankful to have found someone who loves her son, Ashton, as much as she does. They’ve been living as their little blended family after getting engaged and are so excited for the future.
