Question

Plus Ones?

Answer

To maintain the intimate atmosphere of our wedding, we have decided to only extend plus ones to individuals in long-term, committed relationships. We believe this will help create a more meaningful and comfortable experience for everyone involved.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we adore children and cherish their presence in our lives, we have chosen to have an adults-only wedding. We believe it will allow everyone, including parents, to fully enjoy Colorado without any added responsibilities or distractions.

Question

Weather?

Answer

Summer in Granby brings glorious sunshine, breathtaking bluebird skies and beautiful greenery. At an average Summer temperature of 70 degrees during the day and 40 degrees at night, typical summer apparel works great for most activities. A quick afternoon rain shower is to be expected and will come and go, refreshing all of the natural mountain foliage. Evenings will cool off considerably and often call for a hoodie or light jacket.

Question

Ceremony Location?

Answer

Located on property at the YMCA of the Rockies SMR. Surrounded by blooming columbines during the summer, Columbine Point overlooks Pole Creek Valley whilst encompassing the breathtaking views of the Continental Divide. No alcohol / No smoking around Columbine Point.

Question

Parking at Columbine Point?

Answer

Parking is available in small parking lot upon arriving to Columbine as well as the entire grass lot behind the gazebo. Due to limited space it is encouraged to carpool to save room and allow everyone a spot to park.

Question

Phones/Photos during Ceremony

Answer

During our wedding ceremony, we request that our guests refrain from using phones, as we aim to create a distraction-free environment. This will help us capture beautiful, professional pictures without any interference. We have a professional photographer to capture memories for us.

Question

Can't make it to Colorado?

Answer

We understand that traveling to our wedding can be challenging for some, and we want to assure you that we completely understand if you're unable to join us. Your presence is valued, and we want you to prioritize your comfort and convenience. To ensure that everyone can still celebrate with us, we will be hosting a party and reception in Iowa 9/13/25 (more details to come). We look forward to celebrating with you, whether it's in Colorado or back home in Iowa.
