Marriage is one of the seven sacraments of the orthodox Christian church. The service draws heavily upon the Old and New Testaments, with frequent references to biblical couples, indicating that marriage is an act of God's will. As such, the couple does not exchange vows, but is united by the grace of God. The ceremony consists of two distinct services, the service of the Betrothal and the service of the Crowning.
Black Tie Preferred. We know it is asking a lot for our male guests to order a tuxedo; therefore, a nice black suit and tie would also suffice. As for female guests we ask that you wear a formal floor-length gown or a clasy cocktail dress. We look forward to seeing each of our guests dressed to the nines.
Unfortunately our venue is at capacity; therefore, we are unable to accomodate your children. We love your kids—we really do! But we want our wedding to be your night off! So please plan in advance to make sure there is someone to care for them.
