Question

Answer

Yes! Lauren is the queen of food issues - send her a text with any special dietary needs!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For the ceremony, you may park in any lot adjacent to the chapel; there are multiple options within a short walk. Please follow signage regarding where you can't park. The chapel is located on Xavier University's campus. The campus generally requires parking permits; however, their parking services will not ticket anyone up to 30 minutes before, during, and 30 minutes after our ceremony. For the reception, we recommend parking nearby at the Ziegler Park Garage (1322 Sycamore St, Cincinnati, OH 45202) or finding metered street parking. Parking for the reception will be at your own expense, though it is quite affordable.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony or reception?

Answer

No, there is not. For the ceremony, you will need to drive or take an Uber or Lyft. The chapel is not within walking distance of the hotels. It's about a 10-12 minute drive away, in the Evanston neighborhood of Cincinnati. For the reception, the hotels we have blocks/discounts at are 0.6 mile (21C Museum Hotel) and 0.9 mile (Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza) from the venue, respectively. We'd encourage you to take an Uber or Lyft if you are staying at one of the hotels. While the neighborhood our reception is in is generally safe, we would not encourage folks to walk on their own at nighttime and would suggest taking an Uber or Lyft if you are not planning to drive. The venue is also nearby the line for the Cincinnati Bell Connecter, which is a free streetcar service that runs throughout OTR and downtown until 11:30 PM on Saturday nights. Find out more about the line here: https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/streetcar/how-to-ride/hours-route-and-station-stops/ and reach out to Lauren or Jake with any questions.

Question

What am I supposed to do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We have a short period of time between the ceremony and the reception - about 2 hours. Go have fun! We have lots of recommendations of places to go and things to do; check out our page on this website or reach out with questions.
