The wedding ceremony and reception venues are actually very close to each other, with less than a 10 minute car drive between them! The ceremony is at the Inn at 835 near downtown Springfield and the reception is at the Lincoln Park Pavilion on the outskirts of town. Both venues are wheelchair accessible.
The ceremony venue is outdoors and the reception venue is indoors!
No, we have not. We have recommended a few hotels in Springfield, but we did not want to choose a specific hotel because we did not want to determine a budget that people needed to spend for a hotel!
No, we do not! We own a house together and we have everything we could ever need, including 6 cars, 4 motorcycles, and 2 scooters. If you wish to put money towards our honey moon, or Jack's dream corvette, or Lauren's dream authentic Knoll furniture, it would be greatly appreciated, but not required!
Absolutely! Would we really be accommodating our guests if we didn't have an open bar? With that being said - please feel free to bring any alcohol that you would like to have to the reception as we will provide a limited menu of beers, wines, and seltzers.
The reception will end promptly at 10:30 as the park closes at 11 and we need to tear everything down before we leave for the night. As far as an after-party goes, the bride and the groom never turn down a good time!
Unfortunately, due to space constraints, we are not able to accommodate children at our wedding ceremony/reception. We request that the ceremony and reception be attended by those 18 and older.
No worries! We only asked that question to know about how much of each meat to order for dinner. We plan to order extra regardless!
