How did we meet? Let's see, our story of meeting is not what some would call a fairy tale. It did not happen by chance, or through friends. It happened from a second story balcony in student housing at the University of North Florida. Hayden being the more outgoing one saw me walking to my apartment after work one Friday evening. He says to me “hey girl, do you work at the bookstore?” Now, at this moment I was not sure if I should be happy that this cute guy noticed me or be offended that he thought I worked at the bookstore. I awkwardly replied “NO, I work at BJ’s Wholesale Club” as if that is any better than a bookstore! He then asked if my roommates and I would like to come up to the party they were having. Now I know you are not supposed to do that, but we were new to the area and wanted to make some friends! I ran into my apartment and told my roommate to get ready were going upstairs! Hayden's pickup line was probably not considered the “best,” but look at us now! Taking a leap of faith and going upstairs that night was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Little did we know that we would have such a major impact on each other! We spent so much time together and truly got to know one another. One would say that conversation can be tricky for new couples, but that was never a challenging thing for us to overcome especially for Hayden. One thing that we bonded on was our love for traveling and creating new memories. Our first trip together was to Key West for spring break! Exhaustedly, driving home from the southernmost point back to basically the top of Florida in Jacksonville, we both looked at each other and said where we going next? We both knew at that moment that we found our adventure buddy. Fast forward to a few years later a few different zip codes, a bunch of fun camping trips and vacations, oh and we cannot forget about our Cali girl. To this day we still have that love and spark for one another and creating new memories with each other!
