The Richmond Folk Festival will return to celebrate its 21st anniversary our wedding weekend. The festival has become one of Virginia’s largest, drawing fans each year to downtown Richmond’s riverfront to celebrate the roots, richness, and variety of American culture through music, dance, traditional crafts, storytelling, and food. Such a fun event!
A colorful shopping district with fun boutiques, local restaurants, and the historic Byrd Theatre. Some of our favorites there include a great bagel spot (Chewy’s), pizza (Mellow Mushroom), Thai restaurant (Mom Siam’s), date night (Can Can), and candy store (For the Love of Chocolate).
Perfect free and spooky October date. The most famous cemetery in RVA. It is the final resting place of many notable celebs including 2 US presidents, James Monroe and John Tyler and Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Also home to an urban legend - the Richmond vampire, W.W. Pool. 👻
