A love story written in the stars

We first met while marching with the Louisiana Stars back in 2019, but it wasn’t until the summer season of 2022 that we truly got to know each other. As the tour went on, we started spending more time together, which is almost impossible not to do in drum corps. During our stay at one of the last housing sites, the Flat Rock River YMCA in Indiana, we sat together during the night in the rocking chairs by the pond. Miraculously, we saw not one, not two, but three shooting stars. Lauren didn’t know it then, but Evan made the same wish on each one: that we’d end up together.
