Our story began in sixth grade at Daphne East Elementary School, where twelve-year-old Lauren and Ethan became fast friends without realizing they were building the foundation for something much greater. They stayed close throughout high school, but after graduation, life led them in different directions and they lost touch during their four years of college. Then, on October 26, 2024, while Lauren was at a Taylor Swift concert listening to “Welcome to New York,” Ethan—who happened to be in New York—reached out to a mutual friend, hoping to reconnect them. On November 23rd, they spoke for the first time in years, and soon went on their first date after Thanksgiving. Their connection was instant, natural, and filled with the unmistakable feeling that God had brought them back together for a reason. At the age of 23, they officially began dating on December 23rd, embracing long distance until he graduated on June 23rd. Their love only grew stronger, and on November 23rd, they got engaged—exactly one year after reconnecting. Now, after a journey that has come beautifully full circle, they cannot wait to become husband and wife on May 23rd, 2026.
