Beautiful mountain range with scenic walking trails. Reservations are required to access the Maroon Bells Scenic Area and related amenities. If the shuttle bus reservations are sold out for the day you would like to visit, day-of, walk-up tickets are available on a first come first serve basis.
The Rio Grande has 42 miles of continuous multi-use trail and is completely protected from vehicular traffic except at intersections. This paved path is ideal for people of all ages and skill levels. The trail gains roughly 2,100 feet over 42 miles, a gentle incline that makes for a pleasant ride. e-Bikes or regular bicycles can be rented from various outfitters in town, as well as from The Inn at Aspen.
Downtown Aspen is a shopper’s paradise, with about a dozen very walkable blocks and more to explore in the vicinity. Wander the pedestrian friendly streets and if you're looking for a personalized cowboy hat, or just to browse, make sure to stop by Kemo Sabe for a fun western shopping experience!
Ride up (and down) the Gondola with the purchase of a "foot pass" sold at the ticket office, to enjoy lunch & sunshine at the Sundeck Restaurant along with hiking trails, wildflowers, and scenic views. The gondola can be found right behind Ajax Tavern in Aspen.
