Providence Water Fire
WaterFire is a unique event that occurs some Saturday nights in the summer and fall in downtown Providence. There are over eighty sparkling bonfires along the river, music, food, and art vendors along the paths of Waterplace Park. There will be a full lighting the evening of Saturday, August, 1st, and we encourage anyone who is in town for the wedding to check it out. It is a truly beautiful and signature Providence event that is worth a visit.
RISD Museum

Providence Art Club
Art galleries and sometimes open artist studios to browse on the weekend. This is where we first met! We also recommend walking down Benefit Street around the corner from the Art Club to check out the beautiful Colonial-era homes and the Providence Athenaeum- a historic library with rare books and artwork.
Gather
We love this glass studio on Federal Hill. Learn the very basics of glassblowing and create a special glass piece for your home in a 30-40 min class.
Roger Williams Park Zoo
The best zoo in New England. The surrounding Roger Williams Park has over 400 acres of walking trails, a botanical garden, a historic carousel, swan boats, a Natural History museum, truly something for everyone.
Rise 'n Shine Coffee Bar
Our favorite coffee shop. Set in a historic carriage house in Smith Hill, this coffee shop is so cute and charming. The coffee is excellent.
Brown Bee Coffee
Delicious croissants and coffee on Benefit Street. A great place to stop for coffee and an early morning walk around College Hill and Fox Point neighborhoods.
Costantino's Venda Bar & Ristorante
A classic restaurant and market in Federal Hill- Providence's Little Italy. You can't come to Providence without checking out Federal Hill! In the summer, the restaurant has seating in the outdoor courtyard complete with a fountain and live music- you will likely hear some Sinatra and Dean Martin here and it is so much fun. Pro-tip: go to the Venda market next door and get some gelato after dinner.

Food Hall diagonally across from the Graduate Hotel, with some of our favorite restaurants in Providence: Dolores for tacos, Dune Brothers for seafood, and There, There for the best burgers and fries.
Al Forno Restaurant
A renowned Italian restaurant. Providence is known as a foodie city, and there are countless restaurants to choose from. The city is best known for its Italian food, and this is one of our favorites. Don't skip dessert.
Hemenway's Restaurant
Another one of our favorites- go here if you love seafood and want to taste some of the best that New England has to offer.
Oberlin
This is a great choice for a dinner spot downtown. Gift Horse next door is also amazing if you like seafood.
CAV Restaurant
Very cool restaurant in the Jewelry District, filled with antiques. The food is great and the people are even better. We have celebrated many occasions here, we love it for brunch and dinner.
Ellie's
Cafe that is perfect for breakfast or lunch and maybe an iced tea or iced coffee if you are walking around downtown. There is a great bookstore and several boutiques on Westminster Street as well.
